Where is a basic diagram showing negative feedback control?

where is a basic diagram showing negative feedback control?Where is a basic diagram showing negative feedback control?
Negative Feedback Control Mechanism

Factor effects body鈥檚 internal environment

Increase / Decrease in factor

Change is detected by receptors

Receptors send out nerve or hormonal messages

Messages received by effectors

Effectors trigger counteractive response

Internal environment returned to norm / setpoint.

Hope this helps!Where is a basic diagram showing negative feedback control?
what you need is the stimulus response model, for negative feedback, it is the same as for positive feedback only it loops back to the beginning.

stimulus ----%26gt; receptor ----%26gt; CNS ----%26gt; effector ----%26gt; response (if negative) ----%26gt; stimulus and so on

now for the parts of the model

stimulus - change in internal or external environment, lets use heat, increase in body temperature

receptor - receptor that picks up on the change, for heat its a thermoreceptor

CNS - for heat its the hypothalamus, but for most models its simply the CNS (central nervous system)

effector - the organ or cells that trigger the change in response to the stimulus, like release a hormone or contracting muscles, for an increase in heat, here are 3 examples

1.thyroid

2.blood vessels close to the skin

3.hairs on body surface

response - is the response caused from the effector, in order from the three above

1. produce less thyroxin

2. vasodilation

3. lay down flat

hope this answers your question!
